What are the best kinds of Pots/Pans?
I need new pots/pans. I have old T-Fal brand ones and the non-stick is starting to come off of. I have a 2 year old and I know it can be dangerous if the non-stick stuff gets into food and you eat it. I worry especially for her health. I’m looking for new pots and pans but there are so many kinds I don’t know where to start. Can anyone offer advise?

Tools of the Trade Copper Pots/Pans?
I had a manual when i bought it that said I had to use baking soda and a mixture of water and something to get some kind of plastic off before I used the pots and pans. But I accidentally threw it away. Has anyone bought this set before?
What are the best types of pots/pans to cook with?
I cook almost anything you can think of, I primarily use Teflon. Is there something better? I am big on Fish, Pasta and Rice.
Are cooking pots/pans supposed to warp and tilt?
We use an electric stove (the one with the flat surface) and all our pans (fryers) that we use to cook food with have tilted bottoms. They cannot be put onto the stove evenly and the bottoms are not flat. We’ve gone through so many of them through the years and all of them have ‘warped’ like this whether it was the first time or the first couple of times. Does this happen to everyone? or are we not using something correctly or buying the wrong type of pans?
Thank you for any help!
Which are considered good? Our pans have come in a range of $8 to $60 and they still did the same thing.
If this helps any, I usually cook foods and stif-fry with high heat and when it’s on the stove, it starts to warp. Yes, they are heavy guage aluminum pans. Is there a particular brand you recommend?
What are the healthiest and easiest to clean pots/pans for cooking?
I would like to get away from non-stick coatings because I don’t like that you can’t use metal utensils with them and I worry about the toxicity of the coating. But I love the ease of clean-up, is there anything out there that is easy to clean but not coated with some questionable material?
I currently live in Switzerland and looking for a top quality cookware set (pots/pans). Any suggestions?
I’d like to get a really good cookware set while I’m living in Switzerland. I’m close to France, Germany so figure there has to be a really good company to get one at a good price in this area. Any suggestions as to what pans are the best, and what individual pans I should make sure I get?
How can I get the burnt on grease and grime off of my stainless steel pots/pans?
The dishwasher, soaking and scrubbing with all of my might does nothing. The bottoms of the pans are black and look filthy even straight out of the wash. Any tips?
