I’m hungry for a home-cooked meal, but like any average college student, I’m broke with a capital B.

My cafeteria has the usual extensive salad bar, egg bar with seasonings, chopped up onions, meats, and veggies, oil, butter, and of course eggs. We have apples, oranges, and bananas, a breakfast bar with cereal, bread, butter, honey, brown sugar and Cinnamon, etc., and a stir fry bar with different stir fry sauces, rice, and stir fry veggies.

And here’s the menu for tonight: Carved Meatloaf, Jambalaya, Black Beans, Dirty Rice, fried Okra, Fresh Yellow Squash & Onions, Corn Muffins

Any ideas?

p.s. I have a kitchen and cooking utensils at my disposal.

just would like to know how sour pickles are made – so i could get containers and other stuff that i will need.

a guy gave me an estimate of 7,000 to redo my kitchen including sink and countertops. i am wondering how much different they are than the ones you just go and pick up at lowes and hang up. i really want the custom oak cabinets but 7,000 seem high on a 140,000 house i paid what the appraisal was and was built in 1975. and has popcorn ceilings

I am moving from Kyoto, Japan to Philippines. I want to take my household goods, stationaries and kitchen wares, which are beyond the 25 kg capacity of a plane. I want to send them using ship. How can i do that, where and whom should i contact in Kyoto?

Granted, it is not my home and I informed him I understand it is not where I live, but we do share a lot of food together and we drink and eat from the same counter and I think it is just totally disqusting to have this fly trap hanging over the counter above the utensils, toaster and dish of cookies. I was given permission to move it and he said he did not care. Keep in mind, I am a registered nurse and a little germ phobic.
This afternoon when I went to his house, his 28 year old son put the sticky trap back over the top of the counter. He moved in with his dad about a month ago with his pregnant girlfriend.
His dad says “I didnt tell him to put it there” to which I responded I would never eat anything in the house again if they insist on putting maget, diseased, infested fly traps over the counter. A huge argument followed and I left angry and upset that this 28 yr old mooch is allowed to run this house like that. I think he did it because he wanted me to get mad. Do you?

I want to get a professional set of cookware but I’m afraid of food falling apart and burning the food and pans so do you have any pointers on how to cook on stainless steel?
