Have you used a portable induction cooktop, and if so, which of these cookware sets is a better deal?

I’m comparing two stainless steel cookware sets from the same manufacturer. One has 8 pieces and the other has ten plus an induction cooktop. The differences in the basis sets are that the 10 piece has a 3 quart pan with lid and the 10-piece also has a larger stockpot (8 quarts versus 6 quarts).

In addition, the 10 piece has a current offer for a free portable induction cooktop.

The 10 piece is $130 more than the 8 piece, so I’m leaning toward the 8 piece unless someone says the induction cooktop is a must-have item. I see it as likely to be put in a cabinet and not used much, but I’m definitely open to hearing good things about it.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Kitchen Gadgets: What’s better? OXO, Cuisinart, KitchenAide, Martha Stewart, etc?

Trying to get a wedding registry going, and I have no idea as to quality between these. Currently working on a Macy’s registry – felt they had a nice variety of things.

We both live out on our own and have a hodgepodge of things, but we would like to register for some things that are nicer than our college/grad school accumulations and get a more complete set of things we’ll need for our lives together after the wedding and graduations.

Any tips for the rest of the registry would be great too. Thanks!
Analon is another brand they carry.

Any ideas on how to organize pots, pans and backing stuff better?

I have an old house from the 50s so not a lot of cabinet space. The ones by the sink are super small and I have all my dishes in there. I have one big floating cabniet that I think someone made in the 70’s. It’s just a big empty space with a very small shelf a the back that only extends for half the size of the cabinet. Right now I have all my baking and cooking stuff- shoved into this thing and it’s a mess. Is there any way to organize it better? Keep in mind my kitchen is super small and I can’t hang anything on the walls or from the ceiling. It’s crazy, it’s the size of an apartment kitchen! We plan to redo but for the first 5 years it has to stay like this.
Any suggestion or website you can recommend would greatly help!
Thanks!

I don’t have enough kitchen space for all of my cooking utensils. Any ideas for better organization?

For 3 years I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to organize my pots and pans. I have given them away, thrown them out, hidden them in other rooms, and in the end, just left them sitting on the counter. My walls are completely full of pictures my father says I can’t take down because they are family history (he passed his old house on to me before he went to his retirement home). This causes a major problem for me. 10 pts to the person with the best answer!!

Are japanese white steel and blue steel really that much better in kitchen cutlery?

Which is a better buy: Wolfgang Puck or Emeril Cookware sets?

I am looking into purchasing a professional-grade yet affordable cookware set. I have seen both of these as highly recommended, however the emeril is slightly more expensive. Can anyone recommend which is a better purchase? I need stainless steel, over safe, and am an avid amateur chef so quality and performance is very important. (I am also open to other suggestions if you have). Thank You!
